Who built this

The site is built and maintained by Andromeda Kinship. The focus is depth over breadth: thirty-five tools audited carefully, not five hundred made shallow.

How the math is built

Each calculator has a pure TypeScript calculation module with explicit regression tests. The formulas and assumptions draw on references such as ACI 318, ADA 2010 Standards for Accessible Design, NREL National Solar Radiation Database, USDA hardiness maps, Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric manufacturer datasheets, and additive manufacturer publications. Math is not copyrightable (Baker v. Selden); proprietary table layouts are not reproduced.

Data licensing

Every dataset that backs a calculator is listed on the data licensing page with its source URL, license, date accessed, and attribution string where required (NREL and USDA both require attribution).

Affiliate disclosure

Most calculators link to a small set of vendor products and services relevant to the calculation. Some of those links pay a small commission if you make a purchase. Affiliate links are marked rel="nofollow sponsored" per Google's link-attribution guidelines. The full disclosure lives on the disclosure page.

What's intentionally not here

  • No login or account. Calculators compute locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
  • Privacy-first analytics only. Our traffic analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless and collects no personal data. Display-ad partners such as Google may set advertising cookies — see the privacy policy for how to opt out.
  • No newsletters. There is no email signup anywhere on the site.
  • No unattended publishing. AI tooling may assist a draft, but generated content cannot reach production without human factual and editorial review.

If you find a math error

Email support@andromedakinship.com with the calculator, the inputs, your expected output, and the reference you used. The fix usually ships the same week.
